AIDA-TANIWHA CHALLENGE-2020

Part 3 of the NZ Freediving Pool Series
NOVEMBER 13th – 15th
 

POOL:

 
25m indoor pool – 28 degrees, sloping concrete floor from 1.2 – 1.8m depth. Light Jets/water vents down center of pool floor it should not greatly affect DYN/DNF if in the central lanes) Flat meter wide spill edge on seating side will be used for statics.
 

SCHEDULE:

Friday the 13th

Porwhiri –  3:30pm

Safety Briefing – 4pm – (Compulsory for all athletes)

Static Session 5:30-7:30pm

Saturday the 14th

Dynamic Session 8-11:30am.

Sunday the 15th

Sunday Morning 8-11:30am

Prize giving and BBQ (or hopefully Hangi) 1-2pm.

AIDA 2020 MEDICAL FORM – REQUIRED

 

COMPETITOR APPLICATION FORM 

Closes November the 9th – limited to 32 competitors

FEES:

$160 Comp Grade

$145 Rec Grade

We would like to foster a team spirit and will have THE POHUTU TROPHY an additional Club trophy up for grabs, calculated off the top combined 6 recorded dives from any one club. Along with overall medal placings & Certificates.

Refund’s will be made should anyone not be able to attend due to Covid-19 Level changes restricting travel. We will still plan to run the event as long as Northland is in Level 1 or 2, however if Judges cannot make it the results will unfortunately not be able to count towards the national titles or Official AIDA rankings.

ACCOMMODATION :

We have booked the te Toka Whakakotahi Marae –  for the weekend from 7pm Friday onward. Accommodation is available to athletes at $10 per person – per night as an option with family and support personnel welcome to stay as well. Payment information will be sent through to athletes upon completing the online registration form.
